COUNTY RECORDER

Tim Stringham. Tim is a veteran of the Army and Navy who wants to preserve early voting, mail-in ballots, and electronic vote counting. His opponent, Justin Heap, is a member of the far-right "Freedom Caucus" in the AZ Legislature who wants to go back to hand counted ballots and abolish mail-in and early voting.

COUNTY SHERIFF

Tyler Kamp. He is a retired Phoenix Police Department detective. His opponent, Republican Jerry Sheridan, is former chief deputy under Joe Arpaio and self-proclaimed “constitutional sheriff” who believes that the county sheriff has the power to ignore and not enforce court orders, laws, ordinances, decisions from the board of supervisors, and any other law or regulation that he personally considers to be “unconstitutional.”
